Expo announces keynote speakers from FAA, NTSB and WINGS credit seminars

PALM SPRINGS, CA – Flying Aviation Expo announces NTSB and FAA Leaders as keynote speakers in commitment to pilot safety.

Flying Aviation Expo is making it easy for pilots to obtain FAA WINGS credit. According to Gary Reeves, Flying Aviation Expo’s Safety Education Advisor: “We know that people who participate in the free FAA Safety WINGS program are safer pilots. The Flying magazine Aviation Expo is encouraging more pilots to use this important program. PilotSafety.org and I are proud to support this mission by creating the Safety Passport program. Every attendee who attends a minimum of three safety seminars will receive a certificate honoring their commitment to safety and can complete their requirements for the knowledge part of a WINGS flight review.”

Also in the lineup, National Transportation Safety Board’s Honorable Board Member Earl Weener will be the keynote speaker on Friday October 21st, at 9 am. He will discuss general aviation and the NTSB’s Most Wanted List of critical transportation safety improvements. Dr. Weener, who is currently an active pilot and owner of a Beechcraft Bonanza, will highlight specific safety issues that have emerged from NTSB accident investigations involving general aviation, including loss of control instances, impairment, distraction and fatigue.

FAA Senior Advisor, UAS Integration, Marke “Hoot” Gibson, also joins on Thursday October 20th , at 9am to discuss one of the most challenging issues currently facing the aviation industry – sharing the skies with UAS. Nearly 20 hours of safety seminars will be offered to show patrons that will include presentations by NATCA, FAA, PilotSafety.org, NORAD, NTSB, SAFE, EAA, The Kings and Flying Magazine.

A broad range of topics will be discussed, appealing to any novice and/or advanced level pilots, which includes Risk Management, Accident Prevention, Weather for Dummies, Flying with iPads, Mountain Flying, Runway Incursions, Declaring an Emergency with ATC and others.
